Cowra Services Rally Results
The BEMW Team takes home 2nd!
Hi Everyone,
The BEMW Rally Team had another successful event last weekend at the Cowra Services Club Rally finishing 2nd in the Modern 2WD category. The team were seeded car 12 out of a 37 car field made up of a mixture of modern, classic & 4WD rally cars. Storms on Saturday night meant that Sunday morning's shire road stages and blast around the speedway circuit were washed out. The event organisers were instead able to utilise a 5km section of one of the shire roads which the teams repeated 3 times each. Both Mark and Matt are pleased with their second place which means they maintain their overall 1st position in the modern 2WD category of the AASA Rally Championship.
Unfortunately the second last round which was to be held in Port Macquarie in three weeks' time has been cancelled, leaving just 1 round remaining in the AASA Rally Championship, The Southern Mountains Rally, (http://www.southernmountainsrally.com.au/), which will be held down at Eden in southern NSW on the 1st and 2nd of November.
Mark & Matt would like to thank their service crew who worked extremely hard on Saturday in the heat and dust to keep the car running in top shape.
